March isn't going out like a lamb here. I found this stunning picture of Beverly Johnson - one of the immediate beneficiaries of Naomi Sims's influence - in a gorgeous strapless number!
As you can see, this picture shows two tall cool ones. :-D
Beverly Johnson has also marketed hair products and beauty books since quitting the modeling business, but with less of an impact than Naomi Sims.
That's it for now. Coming soon, a new group of beautiful women - as always, in alphabetical order. :-)

The Beauty of Retrospect, Birthday Edition: Naomi Sims is 61 Today!
Naomi Sims, the first black female supermodel, a beauty product businesswoman in her own right, and one of the most beautiful women of all time, celebrates her sixty-first birthday today. And I mean, she's celebrating it.
This is a recent picture of her.
If you looked this good at sixty-one, you'd celebrate too.
Happy birthday, Ms. Sims. :-)

A Quarter Decade of Beautiful Women
It was two and a half years ago today I started this blog, and as of today, I have featured 217 different women.
More are to come - and hopfeully, I'll be able to feature a more diverse group, not just the usual assortment of actresses and anchorwomen.
Stay tuned. :-)

Lancôme spokesmodel Arlenis Sosa
Here's the picture of Arlenis Sosa I promised earlier.
And here's another. :-)
Born in the Dominican Republic, Arlenis Sosa is the first Hispanic spokesmodel for Lancôme as well as the second black spokesmodel for the cosmetics company. Cynics will suggest that Miss Sosa provides a two-fer minority presence for Lancôme.
Or, maybe they don't realize that she was chosen for the job because she's so freakin' gorgeous.

CNBC's Trish Regan
Trish Regan hosts "The Call," a business news program devoted to real-time market coverage on CNBC.
A onetime Miss New Hampshire (in 1993), Tirsh Regan was a CBS News business correspondent from 2002 to 2007, worked at GOldman Sachs, and she holds a B.A. degree from Columbia in American history.
She'd actually wanted to be an opera singer.

TV newswoman Kelly O'Donnell
Kelly O'Donnell covers politics for NBC's news division, and has appeared on its sister network MSNBC. She has served as news anchor and substitute host on the weekend version of "The Today Show" as well as on the weekend edition of NBC Nightly News.
The granddaughter of Irish immigrants, Kelly O'Donnell graduated from Northwestern University in 1987 from the School of Education and Social Policy. Her earlier jobs include a stint as a reporter and anchor at WJW-TV in Cleveland, Ohio, receiving a regional Emmy for her report of a prison riot in Ohio.
She is not related to her co-worker Norah O'Donnell.

Actress Kenya Moore
It seems fitting that this woman was named for a country, because her beauty is of national proportions. :-)
Detroit native Kenya Moore became the second black woman to win the Miss USA pageant (in 1993), then went on to an acting career that has landed her in several movie roles (Waiting To Exhale, Deliver Us From Eva) and gotten her several guest appearances in several TV sitcoms.
Did I happen to mention that she models? :-D
I might be mistaken, but I believe she was an auto show model - well, she is from Detroit - before she became famous.
In fact, I think I might have even seen her at one of those shows! :-O
