Meet Virginia.



Virginia Elizabeth "Geena" Davis is one of America's best known actresses and perhaps America's best known archer, having tried out for the Olympics.

At her day job, Geena Davis (who turned 53 three days ago) has played many memorable roles. Debuting in the 1982 comedy Tootsie, she went on to appear in high-profile movies such as The Accidental Tourist, Thelma and Louise, Angie, and all three Stuart Little movies.

Actress Kim Cattrall

How could I not include Kim Cattrall? :-D



Though the British-born Canadian actress has appeared in many movies - some of which needn't be bothered with here, or anywhere else - she's forever linked to her most famous character, Samantha Jones of "Sex And the City."

Model Selena Breed

Watch out, Liya Kebede, here comes a new Breed of high-end comestics model. ;-)



Selena Breed is one of two black models who have broken the color barrier at Lancôme, serving as a spokesmodel for the French cosmetics company.

I'll be showing the other model - Arlenis Sosa - a little farther down the alphabet. :-)

Actress Angela Bassett

Twenty years ago, Angela Bassett was an unknown actress with only walk-on parts to her credit. Now she's one of the most accomplished actresses in Hollywood today.



Though she played Malcolm X's wife Betty Shabazz in Spike Lee's 1992 biopic on the black nationalist leader, her starmaking role was playing Tina Turner in the 1993 biopic What's Love Got To Do With It?

She's appeared in non-biopic films as well - everything from Waiting To Exhale to Akeelah and the Bee - and she currently plays Dr. Cate Banfield in what will be the final season of the long-running hospital TV Series "ER."

Actress Amy Adams

Amy Adams is another young actress currently making waves in Hollywood.



Her first major film role was in 1999's Drop Dead Gorgeous - that's my blog, folks! :-D - and she also appeared in Catch Me If You Can and The Wedding Date, among other movies, before winning the Critics' Choice Award for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Ashley Johnsten in Junebug. She curently appears in Doubt, the ecclesiastical drama based on John Patrick Shanley's play of the same name.

Since I began this picture blog in September 2006, I have posted pictures of two hundred beautiful women, all different, all diverse, and all deliriously delightful. (So, do you love my alliteration? :-D)

And I'm not done yet. I'll be back in 2009 more more pictures of more beautiful women to share.
